Is digital a new learning style?

I have always been a visual learner who benefits from doing things myself. I enjoy a collaborative learning environment that allows me to engage with my peers, which has influenced the way I teach. Knowing what type of learner I am has allowed me to be more understanding towards students who may struggle with certain types of lessons. But now with growing technology, I am curious if there could be a new digital learning style. I believe that the incorporation of technology in the classroom can greatly benefit all students when universal design lessons are implemented, but do some students learn better than others when lessons are digitized?

I am curious about whether or not every style of learner can benefit from our digital world or if there are some learners that still learn best using pencil and paper. Especially with the students I currently work with who are on the Autistic Spectrum, I am somewhat concerned that the advancements in technology have influenced the way they process information. But, I can also see that I might be able to reach them on a deeper level if I fully embrace and meet them on their digital level.
