As the special educator in an inclusion classroom, UDL is an approach that I would like to implement more often. There is a wide range of abilities in my classroom and at times I feel that I just need to pull some of my students with the greatest challenges out of the classroom or off to the side during mini lessons. The UDL approach might mean that I would need to do this less often.
Since this approach is based in computer technology, I would like more experience with a lot of the software mentioned in the article. Screen readinng software seems like it would both help struggling readers and boost investment.
I also noticed that the principles of UDL are similar to the aspects of curriculum that can be differentiated (content, process and product). Instead it seems that UDL has even more of an emphasis on choice.
